"Castellina" is located in the Pian di Palma area, at 5 km from the Saturnia Spa. This rustic structure comprises a period farmhouse with overnight accommodation and breakfast. The rooms, furnished with local country furnishings, have an en suite bathroom and TV. The garden offers open air tables, barbecue and large adjacent car park. It also enjoys an unforgettable view, typical of the Maremma Toscana inland area, over the Puntone Necropolis and the legendary Scogli del Bagno Santo, while the historical town of Saturnia can be seen in the distance. Guests can go trekking, following signposted routes through the land owned by the Farmhouse and can take part in the farm work. The farm rears traditional farm animals, including the “cinta senese” pig, which is now at risk of extinction. “La Valle degli Ulivi” agritourism stands at the feet of an age-old olive grove. It was founded by a traditional peasant family that has worked its own land with love and devotion for generations. This love for the land led to the idea of renovating the old farmhouse in order to host the agritourism's clients/friends. The agritourism owns around 50 hectares of grazing land for 650 sheep for milking, 35 head of cattle raised for their meat and a splendid thoroughbred white Chianina bull. The company also boasts 2 hectares of luxuriant vines in the P.D.O. Morellino di Scanscano wine zone and a lovely olive grove, with 480 olive trees used to produce excellent extra virgin olive oil. Our company's genuine products can be tasted on site during our “famous” family lunches, recreated in keeping with the traditional Maremmana lunch.
